Birds in Black and White
Color and light draw my eye and compel me make images, and photographing birds is no exception. Yet I've realized in recent years that color also can distract, or at least deflect, from appreciation of the lines, forms, and textures of a composition. Bird images, converted to black and white, open a new window of appreciation of avian beauty and structure, and often of mood. More images will be added periodically to this gallery.
